Rules
How to play Team Dominoes
These rules describe the current implementation in Rrethi.
First round
The player holding 6–6 must open the first round with that tile.
Later rounds
The previous round winner opens with any legal tile.
Placement
Match one of the two open ends. If a tile matches both, choose either end.
Passing
A player may pass only when no legal tile exists.
Doubles
Doubles can be displayed crosswise but do not create extra branches.
Round end
A round ends when a player empties their hand or the layout becomes blocked.
Scoring and finish
How the winner is decided.
- An empty-hand win scores the opposing team’s remaining pips.
- In a block, the lower-pip team wins and scores the opponents’ pips; an equal total scores zero.
- The standard target is 200; table owners may choose 10–500.
Starter strategy
Three practical ideas.
- Track values opponents fail to play.
- Keep playable options on both open ends.
- Use your partner’s legal plays to infer the remaining tile distribution.
